Bears have been settling into life at Maldon Primary School. We have been learning about the rules and expectations of School and exploring our classroom, both inside and outside. We have enjoyed developing a 'have a go' attitude when tackling new challenges and resources.
This term our topic is 'All about me', we have explored different types of families, houses and friendships. We decided as a class that even though we are all different we are a family of Bears.
We spent a week focusing on birthdays, making mud cakes, counting candles and ended the week holding a birthday party for our class teddy, Albert the Bear.
After Half-term we will begin to learn all about our senses, bodies and different festivals to celebrate.
We spend our Monday afternoon's as Wilderness Afternoons and explore the outside environment all together. Whilst the weather is still dry we have spent lots of time exploring the wooded area at the end of the Plume field, collecting leaves, measuring sticks and hunting for Autumn treasure.
