This term, as part of our CPSHE unit about keeping safe, happy and healthy, we have been extremely busy learning how to save lives! It was really good fun and very interesting and, although we hope never to need the skills we learned, it is reassuring to know that we have them tucked up our sleeves just in case!
We have also thoroughly enjoyed STEM Week. We have investigated all sorts of marvellous mechanisms and types of forces and used these to create some ingenious inventions and cracking contraptions which we wrote explanation texts about in our English sessions. We were resourceful and imaginative in solving the problem of transporting an egg from one side of the room to the other - one design even involved an egg crash helmet and padded jacket as a safety precaution!
We have had an absolutely CRACKING term (bad egg yoke) and we are looking for ward to seeing what the Summer term brings!
